With its large eyes enabling it to see a wide angle and long distances, the osprey likes to perch high above the water to search for its next meal.
It also uses its vision to focus on possible intruders, like photographers, getting too close to its nesting area. Its look can be very intimidating when you are the subject of its laser focus and watch its posture change to one of defending its nest. Then, when it spreads its wings and before you hear the shriek of its cry, you know it is time to depart.

Transformation
