DippingDipping

The ducks' migration has begun in earnest.  It is a well-orchestrated feat ingrained in the ducks' instincts.

Michigan is a vital stop along their route south as it offers a strategic refueling stop for these travelers.

The temperatures had dropped below normal and a light snow was falling, and skim ice was forming near the edge of the feeding area.  nevertheless, refueling was the focus of these ducks and the weather did not hinder them from achieving their objective.
Here we see a few of the many male and female mallards dipping for the growth near the shoreline.
