Amazing Migration
Monarch butterflies are the only ones to complete a two way migration as do some birds. While Monarchs normally fly at a speed of 5-6 miles an hour, when migrating their speeds can increase to 30 miles per hour. That's like 3 times faster than we can run!! Put into perspective, size wise butterflies are very small compared to humans. That would make their migration of about 3000 miles like 275,000 for us. Pretty amazing accomplishment when you think about it like that.
