Perched & Alert
A few seconds before capturing this osprey locking on to its prey, this osprey was lower on the tree top and appeared to be somewhat more relaxed. I felt the tension rise as it raised a bit higher. I though I would be able to capture it taking off, but it did not happen until later. Must have decided to save its energy for something else this time as it gradually lowered back down a bit and patiently awaited its next target.
