Great Catch
I have watched this osprey come and go for several weeks now, always circling the small harbor off the Indian River. Most recently in the late afternoon it has begun to perch in a tall tree across the water from our dock to fish for it's next meal. While I haven't been successful in capturing the moment to leaves the tree or when it captures its prey, I have been fortunate enough to record its success on a couple of afternoons. If you look closely at its talons, you'll quickly see why the osprey is such a successful fisherman. Remember the foremost talon is like our thumb and can be rotated to ensure a better grip.
