Getting Down
All leopards are strong and nimble footed as you can see here. The Amur Leopard seen here can run at speeds approaching 40 miles and hour. Reportedly it also can leap almost 20 feet horizontally and up to 10 feet vertically. Of all the big cats they are supposed to be the most accomplished climbers too. While only 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 feet long (plus about 2 1/2 feet more of tail length) they have been known to tackle prey 10 times their size and weight.
