Leaving the Nest
This adult eagle has just left its mate back at the nest. The nest is a whole other story in and by itself. They have the largest nests of any birds and the male and female build the nest together which they may renovate every year by adding up to 2 feet of material. Reportedly these nests can reach 10 feet in diameter and weigh up to 1 ton.
