Immature Eagle
The bald eagle most likely is the most recognizable North American bird. You probably would easily recognize an adult bald eagle. Most people wouldn't recognize the juvenile and immature coloration of their plumage that precedes the impressive plumage of the adult with the white head and white tail feathers. The more easily recognizable plumage is acquired at about 5 1/2 years of age for both male and female.
