Here I Come
These barred owls are carnivores feeding on small mammals like, mice, squirrels, rabbits, frogs and snakes. They also prey on crayfish, crabs and fish. Either way they stash their prey in nests or in the branches of trees. The average barred owl size is 16-25 inches with a wingspan of 3 - 4 feet.
They are territorial and can be aggressive toward intruders. They will attack if they perceive a threat which we may have provoked by calling to them.
