Easy Pickings
This particular day on Lake Lochloosa was very calm with no breeze and very little movement on th water. As a result the ospreys were staying close to their nest and very few adult eagles were out and about searching for food. The white head and white tail feathers indicate that this eagle is at least 4 -5 years old, and therefore, an adult. Most of the fishing was on the surface looking for scraps thrown in by fisherman that had floated out from the fish cleaning stations around the shoreline.
