Great Blue
Great blue herons are outstanding fishers. You can find them wading through the water or waiting very patiently for their prey. Although their diet is mainly fish, they will stalk just about anything including small mammals, and unfortunately they also will target swan cygnets. When the prey is spotted they stretch out their necks and when the timing is just right, they strike with their bill which is like a blade.
