Material from the Moat
There are several key factors in creating the nest into which the eggs will be hatched and the cygnets born. First, the nest must have close access to shallow water so food can be easily accessed. Second, an abundance of natural food available for both the parents and young has to be readily available.
Third, the space has to be relatively undisturbed from humans and predators. Fourth, they need to have a large amount of nest building materials close by. Our site meets all the requirements.
